Hi, my name is Judah Gorman. I am the second child of 6. My parents have been married for 20 years and have taught me to love Jesus above everything. My first love is Jesus; my second love is music. I sing, play guitar and write my own music. I also help to lead worship at my local church. I can't think of any better way to use the gift that God has given me than to worship Jesus.
In June of last year, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with FSGS, a rare and serious kidney disease that damages the kidneys’ filtering system and often leads to transplant or dialysis. To slow the disease, I was prescribed strong medications, but they came with severe side effects and ultimately caused further decline in my kidney function.
After more testing, we discovered I also have Bartonella (a Lyme-related infection), that we believe is the cause of my kidney disease and requires specialized treatments. My Lyme specialist has me on a strict diet, regular blood and urine tests, and natural medications designed to support my kidneys. These treatments give me hope, but they are very costly and not fully covered by insurance.
Recently, my kidney function has been declining more quickly, and my doctor now recommends I begin to see another doctor from The Center for Fully Functional Health. Now, along with my Nephrologist at Cincinnati Children's. I am beginning care with The Center for Fully Functional Health.
My Nephrologist has done an ok job controlling the symptoms. They just don't know the cause of my symptoms. The Center for Fully Functional Health offers a proprietary, state-of-the-art treatment protocol based on five key pillars of wellness:
• Identify - Identify the root causes, triggers, and contributing factors of the patient's symptoms
• Reduce - Cut out stressors, toxins, and causes of inflammation. Reducing negative influences on the patient's physical health and mindset.
• Optimize - Detoxify the patient's body and restore optimal function.
• Support - Structural support will come through supplements and movement, as well as other tools that support important processes and systems in the body.
• Personalize - Customize the lifestyle to the patient’s own personal body chemistry, history, and emotional needs.
Unfortunately, the treatment the center offers is not covered by insurance and costs 10s of thousands of dollars, on top of the ongoing medical expenses my family is already struggling to cover and gas to get to the Center. It is 2 hours away from Cincinnati, in Carmel, Indiana.
I’m reaching out for help during this difficult season. Donations will go directly toward my treatments, testing, and procedures I urgently need. If you can’t give financially, I’d be so grateful if you could keep me in your prayers and share my story.
Thank you for your love and support — it truly means the world to me.
