Hello everyone,

My name is Francisco, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dad, Juan, who is currently in the hospital at UCSF, waiting for a heart transplant.

As many of you who will be reading this know that we first found out about his heart condition back in 2011. For years, my dad has lived with incredible strength, knowing that one day he might need a new heart. Now, at just 55 years old, that day has come, and he is bravely facing this next chapter.

My dad has always been the one to lift others up, with his kindness, his humor, and his endless support. Anyone that knows him personally whether it was from the soccer community or all the fences he helped friends and family build, knows how warming it is to be around him. Now it’s our turn to lift him up.

Being hospitalized while waiting for a transplant was not something that we had planned for and it has brought emotional and financial challenges that no family can fully prepare for so we are reaching out for your help.
