I hope this letter finds you all in good health and spirits.

As most of you are aware, Juan has been a Type 1 diabetic since he was 17 years old, and for the past 3 years, he has also been struggling with kidney failure, which has taken its toll on his health, relationships, hobbies, and employment due to strict dialysis requirements and doctor appointments. However, he and his family have been able to financially manage and persevere through this difficult time while he awaits a match for a kidney donation. Recently, Juan has befallen a serious heart condition which required immediate surgery to correct, which unfortunately has not gone to plan. Due to this unforeseen medical complication, he will not be able to work or financially provide for his family, which is why we are reaching out to our community of supporters to humbly ask for your monetary support during this difficult time.

Juan has always been a natural-born fighter and has always been committed to bettering himself and supporting those around him. He is never seen without a smile on his face and is always one of the first, if not the first, person to jump in and help when help is needed, no matter who is asking. His ability to persevere with a smile and a positive attitude and mindset through his health setbacks is inspiring to all, and now it is our turn to return the support by helping Juan and his family during this difficult time.
