My dad, Juan, was detained by ICE on the morning of Thanksgiving. He left that morning with the largest smile, telling my mom “Happy Thanksgiving,” and being grateful to have work that day. Only to not return that day from work.

With my dad being the breadwinner of the family home, my mom and I are left to figure out how to pay for his legal services, utilities, food, etc.
