We’re happy to share a positive update: Juanita was recently able to return home for over a week to rest and heal with her family, a much-needed moment of peace and comfort. Her care team was encouraged by how well she’s been responding to treatment so far.

Yesterday, she courageously checked back into the hospital to begin her next 3-week round of chemotherapy as she continues on the path toward full remission.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits on behalf of our beloved friend and healer, Juanita—a radiant soul whose life has been dedicated to helping others heal, grow, and transform. Whether through her work as a Colon Hydrotherapist or the deep energetic care she offers, Juanita has been a source of light, love, and restoration for so many.

Now, in this moment, she needs our collective light to carry her forward.

A Sudden Diagnosis

Three weeks ago, Juanita began feeling unwell with what doctors initially believed was pneumonia. However, her condition quickly revealed something much more serious: she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)—an aggressive and fast-moving cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

This diagnosis requires immediate and intensive treatment, including chemotherapy, a possible bone marrow transplant, and extended hospital stays. Juanita was admitted for a 30-day hospital stay in La Jolla, where she recently and courageously completed her first 7-day round of chemotherapy.

In the coming days, we will know how effective her chemotherapy was and what the next steps on her healing journey will be. The path ahead is still unfolding, and our love and support mean more than ever.
