Juan has been in the United States for 25 years. He has worked two jobs almost everyday from 5 am to 10 pm since he has been in the states. He is also always quick to laugh and joke with you, and talk about how the Cincinnati Bengals are doing this season. Juan has people that care about him and he is a cherished member of our community.

Two weeks ago, Juan was put into ICE custody after nearly three decades in the United States. Since then, I and several others have worked tirelessly to do what we can for Juan legally. Unfortunately, the clogged and under-regulated immigration system is not one that can be fought to help our friend, Juan, stay where he has called home for 25 years now. We have spoken to several others in Juan's facility who have similar stories, each of them heartbreaking. People who have been torn from their families just trying to make a better life. If these are just a few individual stories, imagine that on the scale of rapid mass deportation that has only grown worse under the Trump administration.

We shared Juan's story online and many people have reached out asking how they can support him! We have decided to set up this go fund me for Juan so that anyone may send donations and messages to him if they like. My sister and I will be handling all of his legal and financial obstacles, so anything you send will go straight into the funds we are keeping safe for Juan while he is detained. We can also send him care packages while he is detained so it may go towards that as well! Thank you for the outpouring of support.

"Thanks so much my friends" - Juan
