Support Juan Rey Sánchez's Lung Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Elizet P. Tejeda-Sanchez. I am reaching out with a weary heart and a hopeful spirit. I ask for your help for my father and my family, Juan Rey Sánchez, who is the hardest working man I know, who has dedicated his time to his family and helped others when he had nothing. In 2021, he became seriously ill with COVID, which infected his lungs, and he was hospitalized for 2 months. They did not detect his sepsis in time, so he did not return to work for 3 years and was in another hospital. He was diagnosed with severe sepsis. It severely damaged and scarred his lungs, and he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. He now uses supplemental oxygen 24/7, and it has been 3 years since he has been unable to work to support his family. He was the head of a family of seven people (his wife, two grandchildren, and children, including himself). His expenses have accumulated, and he is experiencing financial difficulties. He is currently waiting for a lung transplant and is officially on the transplant list. You will be asked to move to Seattle for about 3 months as you will need to be close to the hospital. He will also need two full-time caregivers with him at all times afterwards. This fundraiser is for my father and my family to help alleviate the stress of his financial burdens and the expenses of the transplant and aftercare. Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated and would be a great help.
Thank you in advance, and we send you many blessings and many thanks from the Sanchez family.
