On Tuesday, December 2nd, around 8:00 AM, what should have been a normal start to the day for Juan Manuel became a life-altering tragedy. Juan Manuel was struck by an underage driver, and in that moment, two lives were changed forever.

Instead of receiving their usual morning call from him, Juan Manuel’s wife received the call no family ever wants to hear—that her husband was being rushed to Baylor Dallas, and there was a chance he might not survive.

Juan Manuel’s injuries are devastating.

He suffered:

A fractured skull and facial fractures

Severe damage to both legs

Serious trauma to his hands

Bleeding in the brain and unknown damage

And he is currently in a coma, on a ventilator, unable to breathe on his own in ICU.

Every day, doctors continue performing scans to understand the full extent of his injuries. They are fighting to save his leg and stabilize his condition, but the road ahead is long and uncertain.

Despite everything, we are thankful that there is still a chance for survival, and we are praying for a miracle.

Juan Manuel is deeply loved by everyone who knows him. He is a devoted husband, a caring father, and a man who has always worked hard and given his best. His family, friends, and coworkers all cherish him dearly.

As part of the Green Stone family, we believe in standing together during the hardest moments. We care for one another and today, Juan Manuel and his loved ones need us more than ever.

At home, he has a loving wife and two sons, ages 7 and 13, who are struggling to understand why their dad isn’t coming home. His wife has had to stop working to be by his side every moment, which has created an enormous financial burden during an already heartbreaking time.
