Update from Vlad Caudillo (son of Juan Carlos): We reached our goal. We are beyond grateful for every single person who donated, shared, and sent love. These funds will help cover medical expenses and allow us to focus on recovery. Thank you for carrying our family through this moment. ❤️
Juan Carlos Caudillo has been a beloved vendor at the Noe Valley Farmers Market since 2008, sharing the flavors of his family’s Mexican food and the warmth of his spirit with everyone who visits. Over the years, he and the food stand, El Buen Comer, have become a cherished part of our community, bringing people together over delicious meals.
Recently, Juan Carlos suffered a serious kitchen injury that has left him facing significant medical expenses and a long road to recovery. Because of this accident, he will be unable to work at the farmers market for many weeks, losing income he relies on to help support himself and keep El Buen Comer going both as a market stand and as a restaurant.
We are coming together as a community to support Juan Carlos during this difficult time. The funds raised will help cover his medical bills and provide some financial relief while he is unable to work. If you’ve ever enjoyed a meal from El Buen Comer or shared a moment with Juan Carlos at the market, please consider giving what you can.
