On Thursday, June 5th, my sister Kelly gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, John Timothy III, at just 24 weeks and 4 days. Johnny weighed only 1 lb. 11 oz. and measured 9¼ inches long. His arrival was a complete shock, and the first 72 hours were filled with uncertainty and fear for Kelly, John, his older brother, Noah, and our entire family. But this tiny warrior is showing incredible strength, hitting milestones and fighting every day. Today, he is one week old!

Meeting Johnny – or as Uncle Drew and I have dubbed him, JT3 – last Friday was one of the most emotional moments of my life. He is so small, yet already so strong. I told him that Auntie loves him so so much and that one day, he will be able to tell the world he is a real-life superhero. Kelly has been nothing short of extraordinary through it all. Her strength, grace, and love for her son have left me in awe.

While JT3 continues to make progress, his journey in the NICU will be a long one filled with ups and downs.
