Hello. My name is Denise. I’m doing this on behalf of Jr and Lisa Davies. In November of 2022 Jr had heart valve repair surgery. The surgery was a success, but six days later Jr had an allergic reaction to heparin that caused a stroke. That started several months of touch and go with infections, feeding tubes and rehabilitation facilities. We finally got him home in January of 2023. Then it was weekly visits to the E.R. for other complications until we finally figured out some of the MANY medications they sent him home on were causing him some problems. So we talked to his doctors and started weaning him off medications (one medication caused him to be sick to his stomach and he was hardly able to eat). By May 2023 he was finally able to get the feeding tube removed and he’s been stable ever since. Jr and Lisa have a small business so many people in the community know and love them.

Recently we have found out about a treatment for stroke victims that has an 80% success rate for relieving many of his stroke symptoms like the chronic pain and brain fog. However, this treatment is not covered by insurance because the medication is used “off label” … not for what it was intended for. Because the treatment is not covered by insurance the full cost will fall on them. I’m starting this page with the hope that the community they have been involved in for 35yrs will be willing to help out people that go above and beyond for their customers and community. Through all of this their faith in God and his promises for the future and their deep love for each other has only gotten stronger.
