Our family is heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of JR — a husband, father, and Papa whose love and hard work built the foundation of our family.

JR spent his life taking care of everyone else. He ran his own construction business in Florida, and even when times got tough, he never stopped working to provide for his family. Alongside my mom, he poured his heart into Christina’s Critters, their traveling petting farm that brought joy to children and families all over the state. From schools and parties to local events, JR’s laughter and kindness filled every space he entered.

He worked from sunup to sundown, never once complaining, always finding a reason to smile. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, fix anything that broke, and make you laugh when you wanted to cry.

Now, my mom is left trying to carry the weight of his absence — emotionally and financially. She is grieving the love of her life while facing the difficult reality of keeping the animals fed, covering expenses, and managing funeral costs she never imagined she’d have to face so soon.
