Support JR Lawrence's Recovery After Brain Surgery

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

I'm reaching out to share a challenging story about my father, JR Lawrence. He recently experienced a serious accident while riding a horse, resulting in a head trauma that changed our lives overnight. After getting bucked off, he was airlifted from Omak to a hospital in Seattle, where he underwent emergency brain surgery to remove a section of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain.

The journey has been incredibly difficult. My sister and I flew out the night of the accident to be by his side and offer our support. After surgery, my father had a tube placed in his head to drain blood, and for days, we held our breath as he fought to wake up. During this time, he also experienced seizures, which added more fear and uncertainty to an already overwhelming situation. When he finally awoke, we were heartbroken to learn he developed aphasia; he struggles with speech and everyday tasks that were once second nature to him.

My father has spent weeks in the hospital recovering, and soon, he will undergo another surgery to put the skull back in. While we are hopeful for his recovery, he will need extensive rehabilitation to relearn basic skills and regain his independence.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses are piling up, and my father will also be out of work during this recovery period.
