Support JP's Brave Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Please join me in helping JP continue his battle with cancer by supporting him with the heavy financial load this disease puts on its suffering patients.
"You know that it is very hard for me to ask help because I like to show a very strong exterior to everyone. Though in pain, I laugh the loudest and always give a hand to those who need it. I am now asking for your help and support with this GofundMe as I battle it with cancer and its trail of health issues." - JP
JP's Cancer Battle Story:
In late 2020 JP was diagnosed with stage 4 Diffused Large B-Cell Lymphoma after a long series of tests and a pneumonia misdiagnosis. During that time JP spent 3 weeks in the hospital enduring extremely aggressive chemotherapy and a painful bone marrow biopsy. Apart from Stage 4 lymphoma, JP suffered from hypercalcemia, depression, severe anxiety, hypertension, acute kidney failure, hyponatremia, neuropathy, intense bone pain, fatigue and so much stress. Throughout 2021 JP endured chemotherapy for Lymphoma, a separate week-long chemo targeted towards the brain and spine, a lengthy stay in the ICU recovering from neck infection, and all of these treatment's horrible side effects.
In late 2022, JP was given the good news that his cancer was in remission, but the doctors told him it was almost guaranteed to come back. Although we celebrated this major win, JP's life had already been forever changed by this experience and treatments.
This year (April, 2024), after experiencing new pains, doctor's feared the cancer had come back as Leukemia, putting JP in 3 cycles of chemotherapy. This December JP endured a 5-hour long (and very risky) surgery to remove abnormalities that appeared in his pelvic region, spermatic cord, and large intestines. The tumors are currently in biopsy and we are hoping that they are benign and not Sarcoma.
What your help will be used for:
Throughout the first years of his treatment JP kept working a full time job, but after losing his job in June 2023 he has only been able to secure freelance roles that are temporary and offer no benefits.
Although JP is one of the hardest working and most talented persons I know, he is currently unemployed and on state health insurance. This disease and it's treatments has stalled his once successful career.
JP needs support for all life expenses, including medical copays (treatments/surgery bills, therapies, and endless medications). He also needs support to pay his rent and general living expenses such as food and household bills.
Please help me raise funds for my friend, this is one of the few ways that we can make his life better <3
