Hello, my name is Joy Cardenas. Me and my daughter and my son were in a really bad accident on Thursday; a large semi dump truck hit us. We were cut out of the car and we were airlifted to a trauma unit. We have a lot of injuries.

My son is 13 years old. He's been on life support with a medically induced coma. He has six broken ribs, a laceration to his liver, multiple facial fractures including his jaw, and two punctured lungs. My daughter, also 19, had a collapsed lung. As for me, my L4 vertebrae is broken, I have a lacerated spleen, and I have a huge laceration on my shin, all the way to the bone.
