Support Joyce Jackson After A Horrific Attack

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Joyce Jackson, a dedicated process server who has served her community for 8 years. On Saturday, November 16th, Joyce’s life was changed forever when she was shot twice in the face while attempting to deliver a debt case. After the defendant refused service, Joyce was chased to her vehicle and the defendant was preventing her from leaving. As Joyce attempted to drive away, a woman came out to the curb and shot her through the driver’s side window, striking an artery in her jaw.

Joyce is now at home, recovering with her husband and fellow process server, Michael Jackson. While we are grateful that she survived, the emotional, physical and financial toll of this traumatic event has been devastating. Joyce will no longer be able to return to her job and her family faces significant financial challenges as they adjust to this new reality.
