Joy's journey has been one of courage, faith, and unwavering kindness. Diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2015, she faced her treatments with a positive outlook that inspired everyone around her. Through her Facebook page, “Joy's Journey,” she shared her story and uplifted others, always finding ways to encourage and support those in need. Her selflessness and kindness have touched countless lives, and she is known for always putting others before herself.

Recently, Joy's world was turned upside down when a routine CAT scan revealed nodules on her lungs. After further testing, her doctor confirmed that her breast cancer had returned, and she is now facing stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. As a substitute teacher, Joy loves her work, but it doesn't provide enough to cover the mounting medical bills and daily expenses.

Joy is surrounded by a loving support system, including her sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, and fellow survivors from the You Night Sisterhood and the SheRose Pink sisters of Rhode Island. However, the financial burden of treatment is overwhelming and cannot be carried by encouragement alone. This is where your help can make a meaningful difference.

Joy is the type of person who will go the distance for anyone, even a stranger, no matter the inconvenience to herself. Her faith and hope remain strong, even in the hardest times.
