We’ve started this GoFundMe on behalf of Joy Taylor, from Benton, Tennessee, now living in Bemidji, Minnesota. Unfortunately, in August, Joy went in for a routine MRI of her back and neck and ended up with awful news. She was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma of the lungs that has traveled to her lymph nodes and bones. Mayo Clinic has since taken over Joy's treatments.

She has undergone 3 rounds of chemotherapy with one left to go before she will start her move to Florida. Her daughter in Florida is going to begin caring for her, which means Joy will start treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

In December, she will be retested after 3 months of treatment and then begin a 10-day stretch of radiation. All of the costs of travel and treatment are adding up incredibly fast, and will continue to do so as she will have to travel to the Mayo Clinic. She’s fighting with everything she has, but the financial burden is adding a lot of unnecessary stress. Even if you cannot donate, Joy is a huge believer in the power of prayer
