Help Jovie Fight Evans Syndrome
Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story. Our sweet girl Jovie, the most gentle, loving pup you could ever meet, has recently been diagnosed with Evans Syndrome—a rare and serious autoimmune disease where her body attacks its own red blood cells and platelets. Just days ago, she was rushed to the hospital and is currently undergoing life-saving blood transfusions.
The doctors estimate that her treatment will exceed $7500, and Evans Syndrome often requires long-term care, ongoing medications, and repeated hospital visits. We are doing everything in our power to give Jovie the chance she deserves, but as a family, we are struggling to keep up.
What makes this even harder is that we are already recovering from another major medical emergency: Jovie’s sister, Remi, our sweet hound mix, just had ACL surgery that cost $9,000. We stretched every resource we had to make sure Remi could walk and play again. Now, facing another critical situation so soon, we are heartbroken and overwhelmed.
Jovie is fighting so hard. She lights up our home with her goofy smile, her gentle cuddles, and her boundless love. We can’t imagine our lives without her, and we refuse to give up on her. But we need help to make sure she continues to get the care she desperately needs.
If you are able to donate—no matter how small—you will be giving Jovie another chance at life. And if you cannot donate, sharing her story means more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
— Mommy, Daddy, Jovie & Remi
