Hi, my name is Manayia Floyd and my niece, Journey Malloy, is 8 years old and on the Penn Hills track team. She is my deceased brother's child. He is smiling down on her from heaven. Journey has won 2nd place in the 400m and 1st place in the 800m run in the regional finals in Slippery Rock, PA. She qualified for the USA Olympic Championship in Savannah, Georgia.

My mother is Journey's caregiver ever since she was 3 years old. Journey is a sweet little girl and we would love for her dreams to come true. We would like to raise money for Journey's travel and lodging. We were fortunate to have another parent escort my mother and Journey to track meets due to my mother’s complications from chemotherapy. My mother always drove long distances, but her limbs are affected as a result of chemotherapy.

I believe in my niece and that she will do well. I would hate for her to come this far and not be able to attend this national event with her track team. Journey worked so hard and my mother worked so hard to support her financially, physically, and emotionally. Many times we push kids to be active, but this was a passion of Journey's since she was 4 years old. She would say to my mother, "I want to be a track star, Grandma." My brother will be shining on her. The track championship will be July 21-27. We will be posting all her scores if we are fortunate to attend. Thank you all for your support.
