Journey's Fight Against Bilateral Retinoblastoma

On January 10, 2025, Menazuri’s world flipped upside down when Journey (Lil Lady) was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma in both her eyes. (In all honesty, it's a rare type of cancer that doctors want to keep looking for answers to. It's 1 out of 300 children, and some of Lil Lady's results will help aid other patients.) The day Menazuri found out about her diagnosis, things changed quickly. Journey immediately began chemotherapy.

Her care plan includes chemotherapy, laser treatment, and monthly exams under anesthesia (EUA’s), as well as the potential for radiation and surgery.

Journey will not be able to attend daycare due to her immunocompromised status. It is anticipated her treatment will last between three and five years.

Journey requires a parent at home supporting her full-time with medication administration and transportation to numerous doctor appointments in Salt Lake at Primary Children's Hospital for chemotherapy and imaging to make sure everything is going as planned in Journey's fight and overall supervision.

Menazuri is a single parent and is now facing a financial strain due to unforeseen circumstances. Menazuri’s focus should be on Journey's health.
