I’m going to Uganda, Africa!

In mid January, I am flying across the world to work alongside an organization called Vkids Trust. While there, I will be helping women and children in island villages — providing malaria treatment, performing health assessments, and treating other common tropical illnesses and infections. I will also be helping with building projects and speaking with inmates at the local prison about the effects of alcoholism. Though I am filled with excitement and gratitude for this experience, the travel expenses are high and I will be taking almost a month off of work. I am hoping to fundraise some money to support my travels! Any donation is much appreciated and will directly help my journey to support the children of Uganda. Other ways to support me is through prayer and sending good thoughts for a safe and successful trip, passing on any travel tips you might have, and donations of gently used children’s clothing. I will be packing a 50 lb. suitcase just with kid’s clothing and shoes to leave with the villagers.
