Hi Family and Friends and all this may reach.
My name is Jourdan Summers. I am a Senior at Buffalo State University in the process of obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education with a Mathematics concentration.
This upcoming spring, from May 19 to June 3, I will be traveling to Zambia as part of Buffalo State’s International Professional Development Schools (IPDS) program. This incredible opportunity will allow me to work directly with students from South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Johannesburg, fostering cross-cultural learning and expanding my understanding of global education.
As a future educator, I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of students, both in the U.S. and abroad. During my time in Zambia, I will not only be engaging with students and faculty in the classroom but also conducting research on how cultural identity influences learning experiences in diverse educational settings. This research will help me grow as an educator and contribute to a more inclusive approach to teaching.
However, making this journey possible comes with financial challenges. I am creating this GoFundMe campaign to help cover travel expenses, lodging, and research materials. Any contribution, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to this life-changing experience. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to me!
If you would prefer the option of not donating here for any reason, my zelle is linked to my cell phone or cash app at $0629JMarie.
Thank you for your support in helping me make an impact in global education!
