Support Joules' Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Hello, we’re Heather and Eric, and we’re reaching out to share a difficult situation involving our beloved rescue dog, Joules. On June 1, we received devastating news: Joules has been diagnosed with melanoma and blastoma. We immediately sought help from the dedicated team at Peak Veterinary Referral Center, who have put together a comprehensive treatment plan to fight both cancers.
Without treatment, there's a significant risk that the cancer could spread into her lungs and lymph nodes, a certainly fatal development. However, with the specialized plan they’ve proposed, Joules stands a 95% chance of enjoying more years of chasing squirrels, chewing on sticks, and joining us kayaking.
- We have already completed the initial surgery and follow-up x-rays.
- The melanoma treatment plan involves regular vaccines every two weeks initially, and then every six months, along with periodic x-rays to monitor for any spread of the cancer. Each round of vaccines alone is estimated at $1,369.12, totaling approximately $5,476.48 for four rounds or more.
- Additionally, the blastoma requires Electrochemotherapy, estimated at $1,887.50 for one session. As of June 26, 2024, we anticipate medical expenses to reach $7,000 or more.
This was unexpected news, but given the chance of success, we are committed to moving quickly. The cost is high and we’re currently relying on our Care Credit Card to manage immediate costs. Any support you can provide towards Joules’ medical bills would mean the world to us as we navigate this challenging time.
Thank you for considering our situation and for any assistance you can offer. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving Joules the treatment she needs and the chance to enjoy life to the fullest once again.
