✨ Update on Josué – Second Surgery Completed Successfully ✨

With grateful hearts, we’re so happy to share some encouraging news about Josué Velasco.

By God’s grace, Josué has now completed his second surgery, and everything went well. His little body has responded positively to the skin grafts, and the doctors are feeling hopeful about his recovery. During the procedure, he did need a blood transfusion, but everything went smoothly.

In addition, the blood infection has significantly decreased, which is a huge relief. Josué is now receiving daily wound care, and the medical team is carefully monitoring the healing process to ensure everything is progressing as it should.

Although the road to recovery is still ongoing, each step forward has felt like a miracle and a sign of God’s love. The Velasco family is deeply thankful for your prayers, kind messages, and generous donations, which have meant the world to them during this challenging time.

Con gran agradecimiento en el corazón queremos compartir buenas noticias sobre el estado de Josué Velasco.

Gracias a Dios, Josué ya pasó su segunda cirugía y todo salió bien. Su pequeño cuerpo ha aceptado favorablemente los injertos de piel, y los médicos se sienten muy positivos sobre su recuperación. Durante la operación, fue necesario hacerle una transfusión de sangre, pero el procedimiento se realizó sin complicaciones.

Además, la infección en la sangre ha disminuido considerablemente, lo cual ha sido un gran alivio para todos. Actualmente, Josué está recibiendo curaciones diarias, donde el equipo médico se asegura de que las heridas se mantengan limpias y sanen correctamente.

Aunque el camino hacia su recuperación aún continúa, cada avance ha sido un milagro y una muestra del amor de Dios. La familia Velasco está profundamente agradecida por todas sus oraciones, mensajes de aliento y sus generosas donaciones, las cuales han sido de gran ayuda en este momento tan difícil.

Urgent Help for Baby Josué – Burn Accident Survivor

Hello,

Our names are Karen Hudson and Lineth Kirindongo, and we are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend Jocabed Velasco and her family, who are going through one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

With heavy hearts and deep faith, we want to share the story of Josué Velasco, a sweet and joyful 1-year and 8-month-old boy, whose life changed tragically on Saturday, July 5th.

While attending a family camp in New Jersey, Josué accidentally fell into a campfire and suffered third-degree burns over much of his little body — including his hands, arms, chest, abdomen, and legs. Emergency responders acted quickly, and he was airlifted to a specialized pediatric burn hospital where he is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Josué has already undergone a successful first skin graft surgery. However, his second surgery had to be postponed after doctors discovered a blood infection. He is now receiving strong antibiotics and remains under close medical observation.

As close friends of the family, we are organizing this fundraiser to help support the many unexpected costs this tragedy has brought: transportation to and from the hospital, meals, time away from work, and ongoing care Josué will need in the months ahead.

Josué’s parents are fully dedicated to their son’s recovery and are walking through this heartbreaking journey with strength and faith. We humbly ask for your prayers for his healing, for strength and peace for his parents, and for wisdom for the medical team caring for him.

Ayuda Urgente para el Pequeño Josué – Sobreviviente de un Accidente con Fuego

Hola,

Nos llamamos Karen Hudson y Lineth Kirindongo, y estamos creando esta recaudación de fondos en nombre de nuestra querida amiga Jocabed Velasco y su familia, quienes están atravesando uno de los momentos más difíciles de sus vidas.

Con el corazón lleno de tristeza pero también de fe, queremos compartir la historia de Josué Velasco, un niño dulce y alegre de tan solo 1 año y 8 meses, cuya vida cambió trágicamente el pasado sábado 5 de julio.

Mientras participaba en un campamento familiar en el estado de New Jersey, Josué cayó accidentalmente sobre una fogata, sufriendo quemaduras de tercer grado en gran parte de su pequeño cuerpo — incluyendo sus manos, brazos, pecho, abdomen y piernas. Los servicios de emergencia actuaron con rapidez y fue trasladado en helicóptero a un hospital pediátrico especializado en quemaduras, donde actualmente se encuentra en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI).

Gracias a Dios, Josué ya pasó por una primera cirugía de injerto de piel con éxito. Sin embargo, su segunda cirugía tuvo que ser pospuesta luego de que los médicos detectaran una infección en la sangre. Actualmente está recibiendo antibióticos fuertes y permanece bajo observación médica constante.

Como amigas cercanas de la familia, organizamos esta campaña para apoyar con los muchos gastos inesperados que han surgido a raíz de esta tragedia: transporte hacia y desde el hospital, comidas, alojamiento cerca del hospital, tiempo fuera del trabajo y el cuidado continuo que Josué necesitará en los próximos meses.

Los padres de Josué están completamente dedicados a su recuperación, enfrentando esta prueba con fortaleza y fe. Les pedimos de corazón sus oraciones por su sanidad, por fortaleza y paz para sus padres, y por sabiduría para el equipo médico que lo atiende.
