Josie is a vibrant, adventurous 28-year-old who has dedicated her life to helping others as a licensed mental health therapist. She’s known for her love of books, her black lab Jaeger, and quality time with her favorite people. Over the past decade, Josie has worked tirelessly to build her career and make a difference in her community, and she still has so much more she wants to experience and give.

On July 8th, Josie received a breast cancer diagnosis that has turned her world upside down. In just a few short weeks, her daily life has shifted from supporting others to navigating a whirlwind of doctor’s appointments, waiting rooms, and major decisions about her health. She has already had to significantly reduce her work load, and while she cannot afford to stop working completely yet, she will eventually need to. Daily living costs will become difficult to maintain as her treatment progresses.

Josie’s course of treatment includes 6 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, followed by radiation and long-term hormone suppressant therapy. Unfortunately Josie’s treatment is expected to negatively impact fertility, therefore Josie and Michael are seeking fertility preservation to give them the best possibility at having kids after treatment. Fertility preservation is set to begin this week, followed closely by chemotherapy.

Alysha will be assisting Josie in managing the funds raised, ensuring that every contribution goes directly toward her treatment, recovery, and essential living expenses. Josie, her husband Michael, and both of their families are all deeply grateful for any financial, emotional, or spiritual support during this challenging time.
