Support Josie Geiss's Battle Against CRPS
Donation protected
Hello, friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out today to ask for your support for a remarkable young woman, Josie Geiss, a 15-year-old from a small town in Central Wisconsin, who has been courageously battling a debilitating condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This rare and painful disorder has turned her life upside down, and now, her family is asking for help as they continue this difficult journey toward healing.
Josie’s Journey
In April of 2022, Josie sustained an injury that, unknowingly at the time, set the stage for what would become a life-altering experience. It wasn’t until five months later that she was diagnosed with CRPS, a condition that causes chronic, severe pain and can lead to swelling, skin changes, and mobility issues. The intense pain Josie faces daily is unlike anything most of us can imagine. This diagnosis has prevented her from walking, attending school regularly, and participating in the activities that every child should enjoy.
Since that moment, Josie and her family have left no stone unturned. They’ve explored every possible option: clinics, doctors, specialists, therapies, alternative medicine, surgeries, and prayers. Despite all these efforts, Josie’s pain persisted—until now.
A New Hope
In November 2024, Josie and her mother made the difficult decision to travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to seek specialized treatment at the Spero Clinic- Integrated Health and Wellness Center. This center offers a unique, comprehensive treatment plan that focuses on the mind-body connection to help patients like Josie heal from CRPS. Since starting treatment, Josie has begun to see real improvement. Though the journey is still long, the progress is undeniable. Josie is bright, positive, and determined to conquer this condition and return home to her family—her father and two siblings who are eagerly waiting for her return.
The Cost of Healing
While this treatment center has been a blessing for Josie, it comes with a significant financial burden. The costs for treatment are around $5,000 per week, with Josie and her mother being relocated to a rental home in Arkansas to be close to the center. This incredible family owns and operates a small, generational family business, yet the financial strain is still overwhelming. The Geiss family and Geiss Meat Service business have always been there for our community, providing quality service and support, and now it’s our turn to help them in their time of need.
How You Can Help
Josie is making strides, but the road ahead is still long and costly. We are asking for your support to help Josie continue her treatment and get one step closer to healing. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Josie’s journey. Your generosity will help cover the ongoing costs of her treatment, travel, and living expenses while she and her mother are away from home.
Please consider making a donation to Josie’s GoFundMe, and if you are unable to contribute financially, please keep her in your prayers and consider sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world to the Geiss family.
Thank You
On behalf of Josie and her family, we want to express our deepest gratitude for any support you can provide. No donation is too small, and every act of kindness helps. Thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity as we come together to help Josie heal and reclaim her life.
With heartfelt thanks,
