Support Josiah’s NICU battle

Hello,
I am Josiah’s mom and I am asking for assistance and help during this extremely difficult time with Josiah’s battle in the NICU. Our baby boy was born on 03/25/25 via planned c-section, unfortunately during the operation, I had complications which included a hemorrhage. I was hospitalized for 5 days after surgery. I have now developed preeclampsia. Prior to delivery, I am type 1 diabetic and had to have a blood transfusion 2 days after my c-section due to losing 1647 CCs of blood during my surgery because of the hemorrhage. On top of the battle with my health during pregnancy, post-delivery, and discharge from the hospital, our baby Josiah, who is a miracle, has been in the NICU for about 10 days so far and this medical journey may be a long road ahead which has financially strained our family. He has been diagnosed with SVT, severe hydrocephalus, and an intracranial cyst near the cerebellum. On Monday 03/31/25, Josiah had brain surgery, where a VP shunt was placed to assist with CSP fluid removal, and a scope was used to pop the fluid-filled cyst. The neurosurgeon felt the placement of the cyst was too risky to remove, so she popped and drained it. Since his brain surgery, he has had 6 seizures and a possible stroke, which they are unsure about. Further tests have been ordered (EEG and MRI of the brain). A brain bleed was found 2 days after his brain surgery in 2 areas, which the doctors think may have caused the seizures along with pressure changes from the drainage of fluid. He may need another surgery depending on what the further scans show. We are asking for prayers and funds will assist with food, gas, and a possible hotel to be closer to our son. We live 77 miles from the hospital, and the commute is an hour and 25 minutes each way. We did apply for the Ronald McDonald house and were approved, but they are at capacity, so we have nowhere to stay that is close to the hospital at this time. I myself am unable to provide for my family due to being 10 days post c-section, and I am unable to drive until I am cleared from surgery, along with providing financially due to being on leave from work. We believe in God's timing and know He is the ultimate healer and ask for prayers during this medical journey for our miracle baby. Our baby boy has been through so much in the 10 days he has been born, and we just pray he recovers soon, and does not have any further complications, and can come home and be with his big brother Jayden (our 6-year-old) and mom and dad soon! Thank you for everything and God bless.
