My name is Josiah Porter-Jordan, and I am a dedicated student with a strong commitment to academics, my community, and building a successful future. I take pride in being someone my family and community can rely on, and I work every day to grow into a leader.

I currently maintain a 3.8 GPA and am on track to earn my Associate’s Degree in Social Science as a junior in high school, an achievement I will complete before receiving my high school diploma. Education has always been a top priority for me, and I push myself to excel at the highest level.

I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted into a pre-college program at Morehouse College, a prestigious HBCU known for developing leaders and a legacy of excellence. This opportunity is a major milestone in my life and I see it as the first real step toward my dream of studying business and becoming a corporate lawyer.

Being part of this program will allow me to experience a true college environment, connect with mentors, and develop the skills I need to succeed not just academically, but in life. More importantly, it puts me on the path to becoming a Morehouse man! Something I’ve worked toward and dreamed about for years.

I’ve always made it a priority to stay active in my community. I’ve had the opportunity to intern with the Hampton Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, working in the Ceasefire Department and Victim Services. I also serve as a Lead Ambassador for my school district and currently hold the position of Junior Class President. Whether I’m helping teachers, volunteering, or supporting others, I am constantly pushing myself to lead and give back.

This opportunity reflects the work I’ve put in, but I need help to take the next step.

My acceptance is contingent upon paying a $3,500 tuition fee, and I cannot do it alone.
