Support Josiah’s Fight Against AML Leukemia

Story

On June 10th, 2025, our vibrant and loving Josiah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)—a rare and aggressive cancer of the bone marrow. Shortly after, doctors discovered leukemia cells in his cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), adding another challenge to his diagnosis. What started as minor symptoms—fatigue, bruising, fever, and leg pain—quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. Since then, Josiah has been receiving intensive treatment at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, which has become home for the foreseeable future. He underwent surgery to have a metaport placed, started chemotherapy immediately, and is now undergoing lumbar punctures weekly for chemo injections into his spine. His treatment will span at least six months, involving multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Josiah is only 10 days into his treatment, and already he’s shown immense courage through very difficult days. This journey has only just begun, but we remain hopeful and grounded in faith. His mother, Veronica, is a dedicated teacher at BCISD, and while she would normally be helping students in her classroom, she’s now focused entirely on being by Josiah’s side every step of the way. We’re asking for your support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply by sharing Josiah’s story. The emotional and financial toll of a long hospital stay, treatments, and time away from work is immense. Your kindness and generosity will help ease the burden on Josiah’s family so they can focus on what matters most: helping him heal. Thank you for standing with us in #JosiahsJourney and #JosiahsFightClub. We believe in the power of prayer and community. “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
