This year was supposed to be Josiah Knight’s year.

At 9 years old, Josiah was so excited to play baseball for the very first time. After watching friends from school play last season and attending a few games, he felt inspired. He proudly signed up for the AAA Giants, showed up to practices, and was ready for a season full of learning, growth, and fun.

But on March 4th, everything changed.

Josiah was involved in a serious car accident that left him in the pediatric intensive care unit. He remained in a coma while doctors worked to stabilize him and prepare for surgery. At the same time, his mother—also injured in the crash—was being treated on a trauma floor in the same hospital, just floors away. A family that should have been celebrating a new season together is now facing an unimaginable medical crisis.

We are coming together to support Josiah and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

As they focus on his recovery and healing, the financial burden continues to grow. Funds raised will go toward medical expenses and care that may not be fully covered by insurance, as well as transportation to and from appointments, therapy sessions, and follow-up treatments. Donations will also help cover medications, medical supplies, and everyday needs during this time of recovery. Additionally, this support will help ease the strain caused by time away from work, allowing his family to be fully present for Josiah.
