My brother, Josiah, is preparing for a life-changing kidney transplant on May 18. After more than a year of living with renal failure, this surgery brings so much hope—for healing, for strength, and for a return to a more normal life. In an incredible act of generosity, his wife, Katie, is donating her kidney to him. Their courage, resilience, and love for one another have been nothing short of inspiring. They are also parenting their 18-year-old son, Judah, who will be graduating in June. This season holds so much meaning for their family, and they are incredibly proud of him. At the same time, it adds another layer to an already challenging and emotional time.

As they prepare for the transplant, there are significant logistical and financial hurdles ahead. The surgery and recovery will take place about two hours from their home, requiring them to stay in Indianapolis for an extended period so Josiah can attend frequent follow-up appointments. During this time, he will be unable to work as his body heals. We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden of temporary housing, medical-related travel, and lost income during recovery. Our hope is that Josiah and Katie can focus fully on healing and being present for their family, especially during such an important milestone in Judah’s life, without the added stress of these expenses.
