Support Josiah James' NICU Journey

Donation protected
UPDATE: Baby Joe has been drinking formula for 2 days now! This is a HUGE milestone. He's getting stronger each day.

Baby Josiah James was born on April 10th, 2025. On April 12th, doctors at Sumner Regional sent Josiah to Vanderbilt NICU due to an unidentified mass next to his liver and the fact that he had only had one very small bowel movement since he was born.

Doctors at Vanderbilt diagnosed him with a rare case of Colonic Atresia (he's missing one part of his colon and two other parts are very small), so on April 15th, he had surgery to see if there's a possibility for growth and functionality of the colon.

After having a colostomy bag placed, Josiah finally had his first big bowel movement this morning, April 18th!

This means that there's a very good chance that his colon will grow the way it needs to!

Although he's showing signs of improvement, Josiah is looking at a lengthy stay in the NICU.

With a minimum of four weeks, possibly more depending on how his organs continue to function.

All proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly to Jess, Josiah's great aunt who is taking this time away from her own family to be able to stay with him for as long as he needs for hotel stays, food, and any other necessities needed while Josiah is in Nashville. If anything is left over it will go directly towards anything else JJ needs once he's home.
