I'm fundraising for my trusted friend, bandmate, and "little brother" - Josiah. The last month has been incredibly difficult with many crises related to his transportation and housing.
In the last month,
- Josiah (and roommates) developed breathing issues because of mold growing in his apartment despite requests to fix the leak causing the issue.
- His landlord is refusing to allow him to break the lease and get out of the unsafe living conditions.
- Josiah got billed with a massive water bill because of the amount of water leaking because of the landlord's tardiness with fixing the water/mold issue.
- Josiah's brakes reached a point where it would be unsafe to drive the car without repair.
- Josiah's car's temporary registration tag expired.
All of these factors have resulted in Josiah needing to get into a new housing situation and restored transportation ASAP so he can continue working his job and get back on his feet.
Here's a quick summation of his needs with amounts:
Car Repair Estimate - $500
Car Registration/Taxes - $1,100
Water Bill - $350
Storage Unit - $293
Down Payment for Next Apartment - $800
Rent - $1,000 (hopefully won't be needed if Josiah can break his lease successfully)
Our combined estimation to get him back to a safe and secure place is around $4000. We're starting with $2,200 to take care of his most immediate needs ASAP.
