Support Joshua's Mission to Save Street Children

Hi, and a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to learn about children you don't know but who urgently need your help.
Like many first-world country citizens, I am privileged to have the stability of basic needs like food, clean water, and housing. Shamefully, at times, I have taken this for granted. Meeting Joshua and the children has utterly humbled me and changed my life. Since then, I've done all I can as just one person to help give some semblance of food security to this in-need community of Uganda's orphaned street children of Buwofu. Still, the reality is that Joshua and I can't do it alone. A few other outstanding people have come to the children's aid: Mama Vic, who is in her late 60s; Nalongo, a woman in her 40s; and Ssentongo, a young man of 22, but more children keep coming, looking for help, and sadly our help isn't enough. Currently, there are 50 orphaned children in the care of Joshua's TenderHearts Initiative and roughly another 35 street children who have food insecurities at home and seek Joshua's help.
I'm proud to call Brother Joshua a true friend and a fighter for the children. His story is admirable. A boy who was abused and neglected, forced as a child to try to survive on the streets, alone and with no protection of a mother or a father. He had no food, clean water, or a safe place to rest his head. Yet he persevered. Even though he is a young man with his whole life ahead of him to pursue his dreams, he has dedicated his life to doing everything he can to feed, house, and protect other orphaned street children like himself.
These innocent children are dying from starvation, lack of clean drinking water, and access to basic medical attention. If those of us who are privileged with a little extra income for things like dining out and wasting our leftovers and online shopping for things we don't need (like costumes for our pets) could give that money, even just once, to help feed these children, what a kind and lifesaving act that would be!
A word from Joshua,
"I've seen firsthand how these basics can transform lives. The shy child who blossoms when they're well-fed and educated. The teenager who gains skills to support themselves. These aren't just statistics - they're real children with real potential, just waiting for someone to believe in them. I know exactly what these children need because I've lived it. Every dollar you give goes directly to their care - no administrative fees, no middlemen, just pure life-changing impact. So, I'm asking you today: will you help us provide these children with the childhood they deserve? Every dollar given will write a new chapter in a child's life story.
From my heart, thank you for considering supporting our family.
With gratitude, Joshua Mbogoli."
Joshua and I will always be transparent in giving all of you who help us peace of mind, knowing that we are honest and truthful and that the children are the only ones who benefit from your generosity.
I will post updates, receipts, photos, and videos as funds are received and food and water are purchased.
Please message me if you feel uncomfortable donating to this campaign and would like to send clothing or food directly to Joshua for the children. I will provide you with all the information you need to do so independently. There are a few options: to send directly via my JUMIA account (an online wholesale site that delivers to their nearest large village) or by mail.
I also send money directly to Joshua to buy fresh meat and vegetables from local vendors. Joshua works part-time in the local factory, but work is hard to come by, and he has exhausted his credit with these local vendors. They will not give him more food until he pays the balance. Hunger doesn't disappear because the credit does.
For example, when I make a food purchase on JUMIA, it takes 5 days to ship to their nearest large village, and it takes Joshua a day or so to figure out his round-trip logistics, and it looks like something like this:
Dry Easy to Cook Nambale Beans, 25kg
Cost: UGX 178,800
Rice, 25kg
Cost: UGX 94,500
Dry Yellow Beans, 10kg
Cost: UGX 75,700
Maize Flour, 50kg
Cost: UGX 90,000
Shipping Fees: UGX 10,000
Order Total: UGX 449,000
Once again, thank you for taking the time to hear our story. I would be happy to answer any questions or assist you in any way you feel comfortable making a donation.
