Joshua, aka Bear, is a strong-willed young man who is breaking barriers. Diagnosed when he was a little guy with autism spectrum disorder, he’s constantly been told by coaches, teachers, peers, and family members what he can and can’t do. He’s been a very active young man in high school. He’s going on his 4th season as a varsity football player, he throws shot put, and even tried wrestling. The last 2 years, he’s been student council class treasurer, and this senior year, he is the student body treasurer. He’s currently got 3 offers to play college football, with 1 inviting him to a game day experience/signing his letter of intent.
Unfortunately, I have 4 teens, with various cost obligations, and being able to take this young man to his future school is a hard task financially. We would use the help raised to pay for flights, hotels, etc.
To say this young man deserves this is an understatement, as he would gladly give someone the shirt off his back.
