At the start of 2025, Joshua and I were filled with hope for our future. We purchased our fixer upper home in January and got engaged in February, excited to build a life together. But in March 2025, everything changed when Joshua was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. The news was devastating, and our lives were turned upside down just as we were beginning this new chapter.
Joshua began treatment in April, bravely enduring months of chemotherapy and medical procedures through August 2025. Despite the physical and emotional toll, he worked as much as he could throughout his treatment, determined to support us and keep our lives moving forward. We were hopeful as he completed his initial course, but in October 2025, the cancer returned, bringing new challenges and uncertainty. Lately, his ability to work has been lessening, making the financial strain even more difficult to manage. Throughout this journey, we have leaned on the love and encouragement from our family and friends, which has been a source of strength during the hardest moments.
