Hello. My name is Cynthia Strickland. As many of you may know, my son, Joshua Strickland, has been called into the ministry.
He is currently feeling the call to help serve the people of Okinawa, Japan, on a missions trip through the Apostolic Youth Corps missions group.
Okinawa is a southern island off of mainland Japan. The population is approximately 1.46 million people.
While over there, they will be helping the local church, serving the people, and making a positive impact on the community.
Less than 2% of the population there claims Christianity. So he desires to go there with the passion to share Jesus with the lost souls of Okinawa.
In the past, Joshua has been able to serve on a couple of missions trips: one to Santa Barbara, CA, as well as surrounding areas, and also to Prague, Czech Republic. In these locations he has been able to help Ukrainian refugees as well as help serve the poorer communities while investing in those churches in the areas. These experiences has had a life changing impact on his ministry and every day life.
Joshua has led a P7 Bible study group for 2 years in high school and has continued to lead Bible studies after graduating in 2023. He also has continued ministering both in our home church at Greater Life Pentecostal in many different capacities, as well as ministering in other congregations.
Joshua has a love and a passion for the Lord and for people.
We hope you would prayerfully consider supporting Joshua in this endeavor to serve and minister to the people of Okinawa, Japan and the local church there.
The entire trip including foreign and domestic travel is costing him $5,600.00.
We currently have raised $2,200.00. We still need to raise $3,400.00 to fund the entire trip.
We have been doing fundraisers, but currently are falling short of our goal in our limited time frame. Any financial assistance you can provide would greatly help his cause. We just sincerely ask you to prayerfully consider donating.
Here are a few pictures from his past missions trips.
God bless you and thank you for your prayers and support!
