hi everyone,
My name is Joshua Kamdar. I’m 24 years old, born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. Growing up in Uganda wasn’t easy—the streets I walked were filled with struggle, hardship, and uncertainty. But one thing saved me: football. What many call “soccer” here in the U.S. was more than just a game for me—it was my escape, my hope, my purpose. And I wasn’t alone. For countless kids back home, football is the one thing that gives life meaning—a way to dream beyond the chaos and avoid falling into the traps of drugs and crime.
After moving to the United States, I never forgot where I came from or the kids still fighting the battles I once faced. That’s why my team and I created Raising Stars of Uganda FC—a football club for youth of all ages. Our mission is simple: to give these kids the support, structure, and joy they deserve through the sport they love. We believe football can change lives, and with your help, it can.
We’re seeking support to fund the club, provide proper equipment, and build safe, reliable facilities so these young talents can train, grow, and thrive. Every bit of help, every donation, every share makes a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for standing with these kids. Thank you for giving them hope. May God bless you always.
