Support Joshua Jardines After Getting Hit by Car

Hello,

I am writing this message to request your support for Joshua Jardines who is currently in the Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Joshua was hit by a car this past Saturday May 7, 2022 when he was riding his skateboard in Van Nuys. During the accident, Joshua's skull was fractured in several places and his pelvis was also broken. Joshua has been in a medically induced coma since arriving at the ER on Saturday.

Joshua is a 7th grade student at Magnolia Science Academy-2 and lives with his father as well as his 16 year old sister. One year ago, Joshua's mother had a stroke and was on life support for 10 months, until she passed away 2 months ago. As such, Joshua's father has needed to miss work to be in the hospital during his wife's 10 months on life support, which impacted his ability to work as frequently as he previously had done.

Since Joshua's injury on Saturday, Joshua's father has also needed to miss work again to be present at the hospital. Despite the hope that Joshua's family and the doctors have for Joshua to have a full recovery, we would like to request the support of the community to help Joshua's father with overcoming some of the financial hardship which he has faced over the past year.
