Support Joshua Herring's Road to Recovery

My name is Meghan Herring. Joshua Herring is my 11yo son. Monday, April 21st Joshua was riding his gokart and was hit my a van. The go kart was totaled and Joshua suffered multiple internal injuries. What started as a trip to our local ER turned in to an ambulance ride to OSF St Francis Children's Hospital of Peoria trauma center. Tuesday, April 22nd he went through a surgery to assess internal damage. He had internal bleeding they were able to clean up through surgery. He has multiple hematomas. One large hematoma putting pressure on his small intestine causing a majority block. He suffered bruising on his stomach and legs from impact. He's been on an ng tube since surgery. We will most likely be in the hospital a minimum of two weeks. Any amount helps. Gas goes quick for Dad visiting as often as possible. I, mom, am staying in the hospital room with Joshua. Assistance in covering meals for the girls who are home and with family while Dad has to go back to work this week. I'm sure we can expect the initial ER visit and ambulance bills to arrive soon. Anything helps. Bringing in entrainment for Joshua helps pass the time stuck in bed too. Appreciate everyone.
