Support Joshua Gonzales during this difficult time

On January 3rd, Aaron Reese passed away at his home in New York at the age of 37. He was a bright light who lit up every room he entered. Full of creativity, sharp wit, and humor, he had so much more to accomplish in life. Just like the superheroes he admired; he was gone in the blink of an eye. He is deeply missed by his surviving family, including his partner Joshua and their cat Hela.

If you haven't had the chance to meet Joshua, he is truly one of the warmest, kindest, and most caring individuals you could know. For those who have met him, this is already clear. Together, he and Aaron shared a passion for media and a commitment to making a meaningful impact on the world; it’s no surprise that they connected so deeply and chose to navigate life together. Although I may not have had the pleasure of knowing Aaron, I do know the joy he brought to Joshua's life.

Joshua Gonzales is an esteemed account representative at Secretly Distribution, where he works with hundreds of record stores across the United States. Along with some coworkers at Secretly Distribution, I am reaching out to ask for donations to support him during this unbelievably challenging time of profound loss. The journey of grief can be monumental, and the additional burden of expenses—such as rent, groceries, medical bills, and funeral costs—can be overwhelming. Joshua deserves our support, and it is important to us that he has the resources he needs during this difficult period.
