Hello everyone, my name is Joshua Geis, and I am creating an Orienteering Course in the woods surrounding Grace Evangelical Free Church in Cincinnati. In a world where technology takes up more and more space in our lives, this project will help create a space for fun and learning-based opportunities in nature. Grace hosts my Trail Life troop, and I wanted to do a project that gives back to the church and its members, alongside the next generation of boys in troop 13.

This course will consist of 14 orienteering post checkpoints, each marked numerically, with a bible verse and set firmly in the ground with concrete. A topographical map (which I have already created) will be used to navigate the woods and help give participants an idea of where the checkpoints are.

I am confident that this project will be exceedingly beneficial in teaching practical map and compass skills to members of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Trail Life troop 13, and anyone else who is invited to take part in this course.
