On July 18th, our community lost a dedicated public servant in a tragic explosion at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s training facility. Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund, a member of the Arson-Explosives Detail, gave his life in the line of duty—one of three heroic officers taken far too soon.

Behind the badge, Joshua was a loving father to four young children, all now left to grow up without their dad. Their mother, Krysten Eklund, his former spouse, is now tasked with raising them while facing the overwhelming weight of grief and transition.

This GoFundMe was created to provide real, tangible support for Krysten and the children in the months and years to come.
