Joshua Bryan’s life changed suddenly just four days ago after a serious accident that left him facing multiple surgeries and a long road to recovery. As someone who’s always been known for his sense of humor, wild spirit, and love of freedom, this new reality has been a huge adjustment. Joshua is currently in the hospital and when he’s released, he’ll need a wheelchair ramp to safely enter and exit his RV Bus—a necessity that can’t wait for slow-moving assistance programs.

Joshua’s wife Serena, his brother Rocky, and I have come together to support him through this difficult time. Rocky is carrying most of the financial burden, while Serena manages the intense caretaking duties. I’m helping by looking after their pets, coordinating and providing rides for they no longer have any wheels. As a family we know this is going to be a struggle. The costs are adding up quickly: gas money and outside costs to help Serena at the hospital. We know this is going to cost the frequent doctor visits, groceries, daily necessities, and specialty medical items like support pillows or pureed food. Even basic bills like the phone can become a struggle when so much energy is focused on care and recovery.
