On the morning of February 8th, our lives changed in an instant. My son, Joshua, suffered a sudden and severe seizure that left him fighting for his life. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU, where he has remained for over three weeks. Those days have been filled with fear, uncertainty, and constant prayers. We are beyond grateful that he is still with us, but his journey is far from over.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, Joshua did not have medical insurance at the time this happened. He had only been at his new job for about four months when the company was sold and he was laid off. He was in that difficult in-between period—working hard to rebuild—when this medical crisis struck. Now we are facing overwhelming medical expenses from his ICU stay, emergency care, specialist treatments, ongoing hospital services, and the extensive aftercare and rehabilitation he will need. In addition to mounting medical bills, Joshua is unable to work for the foreseeable future. With months of lost wages and a long recovery ahead, the financial strain is becoming unbearable.
