Josh Myres was a dear friend and colleague, a dedicated teacher, and most importantly, a devoted husband. He is loved by so many people.
Josh was Megan's true soulmate and best friend. If you heard the way Josh talked about Megan, you knew he found his soulmate too and how proud he was to be her husband. He was put into her life to teach her what true love is about. Josh was the light in her storm. By creating this fund, we hope to support Megan through this difficult time. Because Josh was the sole provider for their family, Megan will need assistance with memorial costs and financial needs.
I had the honor of meeting Josh this September when he was a sub in our 5th-grade classroom. Very quickly, we knew Josh was the missing link to our team, and we hired him full-time for the rest of the year. He became our team's go-to person. Whether it was taking over a lesson so someone could have extra planning time or being an outlet for daily frustrations, Josh was the person who put everyone else's needs above his own. With his ability to easily build trust and relationships with staff and students, it was apparent he was born to be a teacher.
Josh was recently accepted to Western Colorado University to earn a Master's degree to officially become a teacher. We all knew he was going to be a great one and make an impact on our future generations. He was so excited to continue his dream of becoming an educator.
Our team has so many fantastic memories with Josh. My favorite was our Boston Tea Party, where he served tea to our students wearing a colonial wig, while he used his best British accent. He will forever be a part of our team and Johnson Elementary.
I know so many people have wonderful memories with Josh. He made an unforgettable impact on so many lives. Please help us carry on Josh's impact by posting your favorite memories and supporting his soulmate. We love you, Megan!
