For his entire life, Josh has been someone who shows up for others. From serving the Shadyside Police Department as a dispatcher in the early 2000s, to working security jobs throughout the Ohio Valley, his career has always centered on protecting and helping people. Beyond his day jobs, he has poured his heart into the local music scene, gigging with rock cover bands like Stepdown and Soulbridge, often playing benefit shows to raise money for charitable causes and neighbors in need. He has also been a supporter of Shadyside schools and is an active return member of the Alumni band as a drummer.

For more than five years, he worked as a group coordinator at Oglebay, where his goal was simple but powerful: to help people create joy and lasting memories. Whether coordinating large golf outings and shuttle buses for nursing homes and elderly tour groups, or helping families come together during the Christmas season, he dedicated himself to making others feel cared for and welcome.

Most recently, he began working for The Health Plan in Wheeling, WV, helping people navigate insurance and access the medical care they need—never imagining he would soon be facing a life-altering diagnosis himself. Very recently, he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow, on top of other chronic health issues he was already managing. This diagnosis has been overwhelming, both physically and financially, and has turned his world upside down.

This fundraiser exists to help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward medical expenses, treatment-related costs, and everyday living expenses as he focuses on his health and recovery.
