Several months ago, my youngest brother, Josh, found a lump on the back of his neck. After being seen at urgent care, it continued to grow and eventually began pressing on his spine, affecting his nerves and making it difficult for him to walk—until he couldn’t walk at all. Doctors recommended emergency surgery to remove the mass, and that’s when we learned it was cancer: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
What started as recovery from surgery quickly turned into a much longer journey. The surgery helped him regain his ability to walk, and he is now undergoing chemotherapy. While he does have insurance, it doesn’t cover everything, and because he’s unable to work right now, he and his wife are managing without his income as medical bills continue to add up.
We’re asking for help to support Josh during this time so he can focus on healing without the added stress of finances. Anyone who knows Josh knows how kind and genuine he is. Even in the middle of treatment and some really tough days, he continues to show up with the same positive spirit we all love.
No one ever plans for something like this, and it truly takes a village. If you’re able to help in any way, it would mean more than we can say. Thank you for supporting Josh as he focuses on getting better.
