On October 12th, my dad suffered a stroke that changed everything for our family. By midnight on October 13th, his condition had worsened to a brain bleed, and doctors discovered multiple blood clots throughout his body. Over the next week, he endured six procedures and spent three and a half weeks sedated and unconscious. On November 4th, he was moved to a recovery hospital, where he continues to fight every day.
The journey has been incredibly hard, but my dad is showing strength and determination as he works toward recovery. He still faces a long road ahead, including a stay in a physical therapy assisted living facility once he leaves the hospital. The medical bills, therapy costs, and living expenses are overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to make sure he gets the best care possible.
While my dad was in the hospital, our family grew with the birth of more grandchildren. We want nothing more than for him to make a full recovery so he can be part of their lives, and ours, for many years to come. Any support you can offer means the world to us and will help give my dad the best chance at a strong recovery. Thank you for being part of our journey.
